Well I did it ladies - 4lbs off, although it has taken me two weeks, the good thing is though I know it is all fat and not fluid!
Back on track now, I have found that planning is teh key, TDP is the easy part making sure I have food in the fridge is the issue. At the moment my beautiful Samsung American fridge has bust - apparently a common fault with the Samsung. The question is now do I call out an engineer or buy a new one that will break inside 3 years just as the guarantee runs out!

Hi Ladies,
My holiday is over and I went back to work yesterday.
Weighed myself today and I am still 11st7lb I am so pleased that means my weight has stayed the same, although I have not lost weight I was not expecting to as I have had quite a few meals out, but have tried to make more sensible choices than I would have normally I also have enjoyed the odd beer so very pleased I am still the same weight.
Never before have I been able to have a holiday without gaining weight, I usually return to my pre- diet weight and that is normally how my weight yo yo's.
So as you can imagine I am so happy it proves the diet plate works, in restuarants I tried to visualise my portions and only eat that amount, and used the plate at all other times.
My new goal is to be at 11stone so wish me luck, well done to you all who have lost weight whilst I have been absent.
Good Luck,
Debbie

Hi Tracey,
Thank you, it is hard to stay motivated at times and I think we all have some weeks better than others, you are doing well as you said you have not gained weight thats good.
I feel my weight loss sometimes plateaus for a week and then I loose again, so dont be dettered, we have to accept the weight went on over a few years its going to take a while to loose it.
Good Luck
Debbie

Still the same at 21st 5lbs...
Not the systems fault... I just havent really been sticking to it, far too many meals out and not enough exercise!! (well none actually...)
Oh well, I know where I am going wrong, just need a push in the right direction me thinks...
Good luck all.

Morning all. I forgot to post my loss last week with going away for the weekend, it wasn't a huge one but pleasing to be a loss all the same. Just 5/8ths of a pound - weigh day for me again today and I'm down a further 1 and 3/4 pounds so in the nearly 4 weeks since being on the plate that makes 7 and a half pounds.
Had a weekend at mum and dad's and took them a present each - a male and female DP! They were keen to get started Friday evening and dad found that there was actually a bit too much on his man's plate for him to eat it all comfortably and ended up putting some to one side for supper. We all stuck to it at the weekend, none of the usual cakes and biscuits, general grazing on sugary foods, twice as much lunch as is sensible etc etc, but admit to having four ice creams over the whole weekend as my 'treats'.
How are you doing Kay? I'm really pleased and another 5lb by November is looking very do-able now.
Hope everyone else is doing well too, this is certainly working for me. I'll check on mum and dad's progress later, know they've been using it all week.
Best wishes
Deb

Hi Deb,
Congratulations on your weight loss and encouraging your Mum and Dad. My family always enjoyed the sugary treats when I visited and I always found it hard to refuse as I did not want to upset them but now Im using the diet plate they undersatnd and we have fruit instead, also no the GP thinks I might be borderline Diabetic I am having more blood tests next month, ( although I should not be suprised as now I have reached 50 years, overweight and carry all my weight around my middle making me high risk).
Unfrotunately though I have not lost weight this week reamin the sme at 11st 7lb, but nothing gained which is good so I will just keep going, I am out for dinner on Saturday with a friend I have not seen in months I will try and opt for health choices.
Good Luck eveyone,
Debbie

Hi All,
Weighed myself this week still the same 11st 7lb nothing lost but nothing gained so am keeping postive I think I have hit a plateau. I keep a food diary and looking back this week i think I have had too many fruit snacks, all this summer fruit is on offer as I am the only one that eats it and it deterioates so quickly I have been eating it up, so I think that may be the reason I have not lost weight.
I will try and not buy it next week and have carrots and celery as snacks Im not hungy but when I relax in the evening I like to nibble, not good. Good job i work 3 evenings a week I dont sanck at work.
Good luck to everyone.

Hi Debbie from a fellow Debbie! Wouldn't it be a shame to cut down on fruit? They must be good calories - maybe not so much goodness in grapes which I could much by the punnet... and bananas are a bit hefty to have more than one a day but surely berries, cherries, apples, satsumas etc are good filling healthy foods. Maybe Kay will come back about this to confirm that fruit snacks are good. I would hate to have to cut down on my fruit intake now that I've got it up to a healthy level - its one of the first things i turn to now other than fat free yogs.
I've put on 3/4 pound this week and also keep a food diary. Think my lunch portions have crept up in size this week with working at home, although I've been sticking with the plate at teatime and my 'day off' last Friday has come back to bite me on the bum - did go a bit silly! I had a sneaky weigh and saw I'd LOST 3/4 from last week, so it was quite a shock to see it was actually up by 3/4 over last week when I weighed this morning. Could be general body fluctations but I'm only counting what I weigh on a Friday morning as my 'true' weight. Will just keep an eye on the lunch sizes this coming week.
Keeping positive and enjoying the ease of the plate generally - this is the best length of time of eating well I've had in ages.
Good luck all

Hi Everyone, i agree keep up the fruit, it is so good for you and yes there are calories involved but i doubt anyone would dispute the fact, that if you let yourself get hungry you are more likely to binge later or choose starch to eat as a filler.
If you stick to it like glue, you will lose weight - we see it all the time and, sometimes your body just holds fluid depending on the time of the month.
Trust the calibrations, keep on with the fruit and vegetables, it does work.
Well done Chrissy - a full stone! What about Steve how is he doing? i lost another 2lbs this week which makes 6lbs this month and because of business i have had to eat out about 4 times!

Hi Kay
Steve has lost a few pounds but he doesn't need to loose much weight. He gets his exercise going up and done that ladder when he is at work. He is so encouraging and that makes all the difference.

Hi everyonone,
Weighed myself today and lost 1/2 lb not much I know but I am really pleased as I have plateaued over the last couple of weeks and now it appears to be shifting again,I think because I now have lost a stone the rest of the weight loss may come off a little slower but I dont mind as long as it is the right direction. I just keep reminding myself it went on over the years so will take a while to come off and wtih the diet plate I am not hungry which is great.
I think I found my mistake which caused me to plateau, I read prunes were good for the skin helping wrinkles and lots of good minerals for you so I put some in the car to eat when travelling to and from work, this week I weghed and measured them I think throughout the day I have been eating about 200 cals worth , so I think they have been the reason I have not lost, I didnt find out until monday when I stopped eating them and replaced sugar free mints for the car and now have lost 1/2lb so lets hope i have found the casue.
My mistake is I read something is good for you and try and add it to my diet, but I cant eat all the foods I read about "note to self" .
Good luck to everyone,
Debbie
