<description>I can understand your frustration at not being able to find the diet, I posted yesterday asking for information, I have had the plate since June. BUT if your need to lose weight urgently you can go ahead on your own steam. I have been on a course with our local authority called &quot;Keep it off for good&quot; which told us what food we can eat and also how important exercise is even if its only spring cleaning. Also that is important to have a snack in the morning and afternoon so as not to get hungry. You have the incentive, you need an operation. I took the plate with me to the Keep it off for good meeting and the leader said the size of the plate what what they recommended, the portions are correct and that I should also buy the dish, which I did. But I wanted the diet club for extra help and for a starting time, I use that as an excuse for starting. You have your starting time, its now. Try writing down everything you eat so you can look back.
I wish you luck with your diet and please keep us posted.

<description>I would suggest that we have a weekly update on the state of play with the 8 week course. I thing this is really important especially if you are planning a big promotion of the plates. I bought the plate several months ago and the 8 week plan was the main thing for me. I still haven't started the diet.

<description>Me again, with another market research question?

How would you feel about being able to buy TDP through a party plan? A lot of people have said to me that we should demonstrate it in the home and get people around in a comfy environment to discuss diets and products. It would mean us finding more than one product range to sell and there would be a lot of hard work involved to get it up and running.

has anybody out there got experience of running a Virgin make up plan or anything else who would liked to get involved?

Is party plan a thing of the past?
Is weight to sensitive a subject to discuss around friends?
Do you think it would work?

Any comments most welcome.
Thanks

<description>Such a brilliant weight loss for a first weigh in, don't be worried if it drops to 2-3lbs a week though as that is an ideal loss. Part of your early loss will be fluid and many get worried when they don't change anything but their weightloss slows down.

Just pick up three packs of sugar or six packs of lard if the thought that 3lbs is not quick enough ever crosses your mind. The frown turns to a beaming smile - its a lot and its gone, so carry on because you are doing everything right and you will benefit from it over and over again.

<description>Well done, that is a fantastic weight loss for your first week. Stick to it, I am not sure how much you want to lose, but 10lbs a month is really possible. I hope you have a before picture and will do us an after picture - we need to increase our testimonials on the site and sometimes magazines ask us for ladies who have lost weight to publish. Will you consider it if it will help incentivise you? Can you email me directly if you will please on info@thedietplate.com
and I will be in touch.
Best

<description>I agree, if you give toddlers every veg and treat it as &quot;this is just what we eat&quot; rather than &quot;eat your veggies they're good for you&quot; then they will know nothing different.

Be careful when they start staying for tea at friends houses though, because peer pressure can undo a lot of good work and if they get a friend who doesn't eat veg, the message can easily be passed on down to your children.

I speak with experience - I raised both of mine on home cooking and lots of vegetables, until my son got a new best friend that he admired, the best friend hated anything green. My son in awe of his new best friend, decided to follow suit and at 23 I still can't get him to eat peas or cabbage. Yet he loved them when he was a toddler - even sprouts!!!!!!</description>

            <description>Hi Jax,

Welcome to the forum, I too have arthrtits affecting both my knees it was a reactive arthrits that occured overnight, the damage done to my joints was so great I went from being active to disabled at the age of 35 (now am 50) like you I was told I was too young to have knee replacements they have operated on both knees to preserve my mobility as much as they can. I swim but am unable to walk any distance because of that my weight has increased.

With the diet plate this time I have lost 1st 2lbs so i know it works, I have also lost weight previously with it but made the mistake of once I had lost I retruned to my old portions size so this time I am determined not to to do that.

Like Deb I too look on the forum daily to see waht is hapening and post my weight weekly.

So welocme and good luck, you have already done really well reducing your weight form 19st 8lb to 15st 6lb

Keep posting,

<description>Thanks James - no worries about the delay. Hope you had a good hol and it hasn't put you back on your weight loss too much.
Will probably phone on that number 2moro or Friday. Bought my sister a real plate only yesterday as I'd not heard back to this post, but I might well be able to use/pass on a melamine one anyway. I know you're in my area so maybe I can pick it up from somewhere local to us.
Speak soon to see what we can arrange
Best wishes
Deb
